2007   Ingraham  Institute of Zoopharmacognosy

Lecturer in Aromatherapy and Energetic medicine.  Teaching Five Elemental theory and its application to essential oils and their use with animals.  Looking at case studies and how the Eastern approach can refine the choice of oils offered for selection and therefore ensuring the animal is given best opportunity for recovery.  Teaching how to recognize quality plant based products, encouraging development of a sense of smell through practical demonstrations.  Focusing especially on the production of plant material in the real world and how widely different this is from the conventional text book approach.


2007   Arthur Rank Hospice, Cambridge

Aromatherapy and Palliative Care.  Presentation of monographs on oils specific to palliative care for the terminally ill and their carers. Course content included counselling approaches to selection of oils and their application in sensitive environments. Special needs included non-hearing and non-sighted students


2006 – 2007   Lodgefield Health And Beauty

Employed here as both Lecturer and Practitioner running a private Complementary Medicine Practice, involving consultation, energetic diagnosis and Shin-Tai treatments with possible prescription of Nutritional Supplements, and Homoeopathic or Herbal Remedies. Also as a lecturer teaching Aromatherapy & Body work techniques, Five Element theory and application of energy medicine techniques.


2000 - 2006   Asia-Pacific Aromatherapy, Hong Kong

Working at Asia-Pacific Aromatherapy School in Hong Kong. At this time it was considered to be the top Aromatherapy school in the world.  Its founder was Tisserand trained but employed top specialists in each field to teach their particular subjects. Teaching alongside such names as Robbie Zeck and Salvatore Battaglia. Basic MCM (Modern Chinese Medicine) was taught by an Acupuncturist as preparatory to me focusing more specifically on Five Element theory, energy imbalances and the effects on homoeostasis, the energetic properties of essential oils and their application in Aromatherapy.  More advanced workshops included, Chakras and Essential Oils, quality and production of oils, postural diagnosis, the art of smelling, understanding subtle energy and Energy Footprints. Graduates gained automatic membership to two British, two Australian and one American professional organization.  Lectures were often to Mandarin speakers with the aid of two interpreters.


Research Assistant in the production of ‘The Essential Oil Pharmacy’ book. Specifically for overseeing the accuracy of information and providing numerous true to species photographs and all energetic information. Contributors included Martin Watt and Sylla Sheppard-Hanger.


Established a busy practice whilst there and still holds consultations on return trips.


Became a regular ‘expert’ guest speaker on Hong Kong Radio.
