Base Cream Recipe

Recipe for Base Cream (you may want to change certain ingredients, but it’s a guideline based on my old recipe)

460gms Water

360gms Solid Palm Oil

220gms Sunflower Oil

40gms   Glyceryl Stearate SE

2gms     Cider Vinegar

2gms     Witch Hazel

2gms     Vitamin E Oil

5gms     Japanese Honeysuckle (natural preservative)

3gms     Citric Acid

20gms    Essential Oils

Melt the Palm oil in the Sunflower Oil, bring to 70C.

Add and dissolve the Glyceryl Stearate.

Allow to cool to 60C.

Meanwhile, dissolve the Citric Acid in the water (at 60C).

Then slowly add the water to the oil blending well with a stick-blender.

Add the rest of the ingredients and blend well for several minutes (Make sure your stick-blender is safe to use continuously for many minutes).

Leave to cool, blending occasionally. Leave overnight and blend one more time once cool.

To make a thinner cream or lotion, reduce the amount of Palm Oil and increase the Sunflower oil.

You can of course use whatever blend of base oils you require.
